Last updated: 22/07/2026
Headhunters Alliance Ltd is committed to protecting the privacy of everyone we work with. Whether you're a candidate, a client, or simply visiting our website. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and what rights you have.
We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. If you have any questions, you can contact us at info@headhuntersalliance.co.uk or via our contact page.

Clients - the businesses and individuals within those businesses who engage us to find talent.
-
Website visitors - anyone browsing headhuntersalliance.co.uk.
Information we collect

Where relevant to a specific role, this may include information you volunteer about right-to-work status.
From clients: name, job title, company details, contact information, and details of your hiring requirements.
From website visitors: information submitted through contact or newsletter sign-up forms, and technical data (IP address, browser type, pages visited) collected via cookies - see our Cookie Policy for details.
How we use your information
We use personal data to:
-
Identify, assess, and present suitable candidates to clients for specific roles
-
Manage the recruitment process, including references and offer negotiation
-
Communicate with candidates and clients about opportunities, services, and updates
-
Maintain our candidate and client database for future search assignments
-
Comply with our legal obligations
-
Improve our website and services
Our legal basis for processing
We rely on the following legal bases under UK GDPR:
-
Legitimate interests - for approaching candidates about relevant opportunities and maintaining client relationships, balanced against your rights and interests
-
Contract - where processing is necessary to deliver a search assignment on behalf of a client, or to fulfil an engagement with you
-
Consent - for marketing communications such as our newsletter, which you can withdraw at any time
-
Legal obligation - where we're required to retain or disclose data by law
Sharing your information
We share only candidate details with their prior permission, and always in a professional and confidential manner. We do not sell personal data. We may share data with trusted service providers (e.g. our website host, email platform, CRM) who process it on our behalf under appropriate data protection agreements, and with regulators or authorities where legally required.
We work internationally, so data may occasionally be transferred outside the UK. Where this happens, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as the UK's International Data Transfer Agreement or adequacy regulations.
How long we keep your information
We retain candidate and client data for as long as necessary to provide our services and maintain a relevant, active talent network - typically 6 years from your last interaction with us, after which it is deleted or anonymised, unless we're required to keep it longer for legal reasons or you ask us to retain it for future opportunities.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
-
Access the personal data we hold about you
-
Request correction of inaccurate data
-
Request erasure ("right to be forgotten")
-
Object to or restrict certain processing
-
Request data portability
-
Withdraw consent at any time (where consent is our legal basis)
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@headhuntersalliance.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk if you believe we haven't handled your data properly.
